Overview
Offered twice a year by the Cornell NanoScale Science & Technology Facility, the TCN Short Course provides an intensive introduction to the science and technology necessary for research in nanoscience. The course is available virtually in January and in person in June. It combines lectures and laboratory demonstrations, giving participants a comprehensive understanding of key nanofabrication techniques. The TCN Short Course is ideal for faculty, students, postdocs, and staff looking to quickly become familiar with the technologies used by CNF researchers. It also serves as a valuable resource for professionals in the high-tech business community seeking to learn best practices for success in a nanofabrication environment. While the course is open to the general scientific community, class size is limited. Please note that this short course complements, but does not replace, the three part training required to become a user of our facility.
Target Audience
Attendance is open to the general scientific community and is not restricted to CNF users or Cornell students. We highly encourage anyone planning to become a CNF user to attend this course. Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend the in-person session.
